Hummingbird Cancer Support Group relies on volunteers to manage the committee, run the sessions every week, undertake administration and organise fundraising. Everyone gives up their time for our members, friends, and supporters.
Running a charity involves a fair bit of admin, marketing, promotion, networking, organisation, fundraising, delivery of sessions and recruitment. We need people with all these skills along with important transferrable qualities such as time management, team player, personal qualities and reliability.

As a volunteer you will be eligible to collect your volunteer hours as part of our volunteer recognition scheme. You will also be able to apply for specific Oncology training courses and help support local people and families affected by cancer.
