Anyone who is affected by cancer can attend the treatment centre. Primarily its main focus is to the person receiving the cancer diagnosis; however the support also extends to members' friends and families.
Treatments can be booked online, by phone or in person at our meeting. We will only accept bookings for one session ahead. You must become a member to book treatments.
Just fill in the application form and send it off to us. You can always come to one of our meets and apply there. Please note, before receiving treatments you must provide us with your GP's consent and sign a consent form.
Yes, you can. Please come and visit us for a chat and a cup of tea. One of our team will sit with you and answer your questions and maybe show you around the centre.
We meet every Monday, except bank holidays and then the session will fall the following week. We meet between 10:30 - 1:30. Session dates can be found on our meeting dates page.
Physical, mental, and social health support are provided. Physical support is offered via physical complementary therapies such as reiki, reflexology and massage; mental support through counselling and social support via peer collaboration, knowledge of medical treatments, signposting, education, and practical advice.
Volunteer, qualified, self-employed therapists who run their own businesses in Bishops Stortford and surrounding towns/villages. The trustees also make up part of the service delivery team. Hummingbird Cancer Support Group also have a dedicated admin team who deliver the front of house service.
