Sarah

Beauty Therapist and Chair.

Sarah is our Chairperson at Hummingbird Cancer Support Group; she is a qualified Beauty Therapist and ran her own beauty business for 17 years before retiring in 2023.

She has volunteered for the Group since 2012 and provides manicures and hand/arm massage.  Sarah has found that professional nail care and massage during and after chemotherapy has shown a boost to the clients’ self-esteem, a reduction of the harmful side effects to the nails and a general feeling of relaxation and pampering.

She is passionate about the group and how it supports the community and loves to be able to support the members, not just from her therapies but also from a social point of view.
