November Hummingbird Cancer Support Group
Hummingbird Cancer Support Group (Hummingbird CSG) has been adjusting to being a new registered charity. We are over halfway through our first year and made some massive achievements.
Thank you to everyone who has joined our team as a volunteer. We are now at full capacity and are looking forward to getting everyone up to speed through induction and training. We have recently launched a new Volunteer Management System (VMS) and Volunteer Induction Program (VIP). This is a fully integrated online system which has been tailor-made for use at Hummingbird.
Hummingbird CSG is a local support group, based in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. We work with people who have been diagnosed with cancer along with their friends and families. The group is available to men and women over the age of 18. If you have younger children affected by your diagnosis, they are more than welcome to join you at the sessions but unfortunately won’t be able to participate in the complementary therapies.
We meet every Monday at Southmill Arts Centre between 10:30 – 1:30.
Our charity number is 1199955 and we can now receive official donations and sponsors to help support more people in and around Bishops Stortford. We are looking for places to display our leaflets, please let us know by email if you can display some at your places of work or social clubs.
