August Update 2023
Our trustee report and annual financial statements are now available to view online at our website www.hummingbirdcancersupport.org.
We are pleased to announce that they show a healthy picture and a healthy financial status for 2022/2023 however we are very aware that we can’t take that for granted. We need to remain focused on seeking funds, raising more awareness of our group, and ultimately welcoming more people who are diagnosed with cancer to our group.
Our operational funds come from different streams such as personal donations, session donations, donation platforms such as JustGiving and GoFundMe and local avenues within the local town and local trust fund applications. We are interested in hearing from people and organisations who would like to fundraise for us, sponsor us, build business partnerships, or donate in memory of loved ones.
We would like to share with you our fantastic news that we have been awarded a Brazier’s Trust grant from the Town Council and have been selected as one of the new Mayor, Richard Townsend’s charity of the year. This will enable us to help with our primary objective, which is to raise awareness through better marketing, revised promotional flyers, business cards and screens, banners, and flags. This type of marketing helps us ‘up our game’ regarding visual marketing and signpost new members to our sessions on the day.
